I have an 11 year old that is caught in some politics. He's a great pitcher, and a poor batter. Right now, kids with much higher ERAs are playing because they have a better batting average. with four coaches, there are four kids who end up playing, regardless of how they perform. My son is not jealous of the other kids at all, but he feels like quitting. It is that the coaches don't even speak to him. I've tried to ask my son's coaches to speak with him and give him encouragement. He's not getting played at all and feels like he's being punished. Is it too much to ask for these volunteer coaches, who have their own jobs, families, and sons on the team to provide both instruction and care for my son?
Thanks
What? What was that all
What? What was that all about? It's great you have a great interest in your daughter's athletic careers, but your rant goes nowhere. I'm guessing the coaches you are slamming are volunteering their time to teach your daughter how to play a game?
It's great you have them playing piano and art, there is no scores kept in those activities and everyone's a winner. Good luck.
Coaches pet
I have noticed that the coach (baseball) does seem to favor three kid's on the team. I thinkl it just makes my son work harder to make sure he is as good as the others. i do not like to see him working just to please the coach this is not good for him or the team.
