Every month for the past several years, MomsTEAM contributing writer, University of Missouri law professor, and youth hockey coach Doug Abrams, has highlighted an individual or team (usually, but not always, a youth athlete) as a Youth Sports Hero for doing something special, usually an act of exceptional sportsmanship.

In December each year, Doug lists his top five in an article for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
