This is my son Alex playing tennis at age 5. Despite being a competitive tennis player myself, my goal was NOT to teach my kids how to play or to win, but to instill in them a love of racquet sports. So all I did was put racquets in their hands and take them to the courts. As I look at this photo years later, I realize that teaching Alex "proper technique" at age 5 probably would have ruined his naturally perfect form!
