BMX Biking Center

BMX Racing is an exciting, exhilarating extreme form of off-road bicycle racing. BMX bicycle races are fast and competitive and are always performed on engineered off-road race tracks. There are professional racing opportunities for men and women, the typical age being 18 to 21. BMX racing will become an Olympic sport in this summer’s 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

While BMX racing can be dangerous, there are four levels per age group designed to keep your children safe: Rookie (boys and girls), Novice (boys), Girls (strictly girls), and Expert (boys).

MomsTeam's goal is to provide comprehensive information on BMX biking: advice on the equipment needed and how to buy it, a primer on the rules of the sport, and videos and advice from experts, parents, and manufacturers of BMX biking gear.

But to do that we are going to need your help. If you are a parent of a child who BMX races or has BMX raced, we hope you will share what you have learned with other MomsTeam parents. Please consider writing a blog, contributing an article, posting on and/or hosting a Forum, or becoming a bmx biking expert. If you know of someone who used to BMX race or coach BMX racing who has knowledge to share, ask him or her to join. Together we can make MomsTeam a true community of sports parents!
