too much or not enough?

First, let me say as a baseball coach: THANK YOU MOMSTEAM! Excellent job on educating me about the hydration situation. Now I am hearing that kids can actually get sick or even die if they have too much water or sports drinks. Is this true?

Yes, it is true that too much water can cause problems like you describe. However, the amount

Crayons--where to get it

Has anyone bought the Crayons sports drinK And, can you tell me if it is good and where can we buy it??

Yes, I bought a case in a whole foods market display. It was relatively inexpensive, the cans were the perfect size for little kids and the ingredients are sound. The only problem is that I can down them in two sips and they taste great...I could drink five cans in a row if I wanted too...probably best left for the kids if you can avoid them...I think wild oats sells them as well.

What to do? Too hot or no?

Hello I am new to this site. My second son just started football and is 8 yrs. old he is also overweight. Last night was his first practice in his full uniform he had to run laps get tackled and do sprints well some tears welled up in his eyes and he managed to wipe them away then when he was doing sprints he was gagging on his mouth guard and ended up vomiting a little on his helmet. I thought for sure he was coming off that field but his coach just made him sit out and get a drink. My legs were numb and even when I think about it my eyes well with tears I literally cried myself to sleep. He has it again tonight and he says he knows what to expect now but I am still a wreck but want to be strong for him I know it will still be rough today and it's like 92 degrees outside today. Did anyone else go through any of this I really cannot take much more of watching him go through this with me doing nothing but sitting there. I thought it would be fun but it's not they drive these boys until they vomit and then they make them run more. Please help me deal let me know some of your sport stories with your kid's. All advice is greatly appreciated. I leave work in 2 hours and every time I look at the clock I wan to cry and vomit. I'm also almost 6 months pregnant and I don't think my nerves can handle it. His father signed him up but of course never there just me and my huby. Please Help
