How can parents prevent injuries if the program doesn't listen?

They say the  best way for parents to keep their children safe while playing sports is by becoming educated themselves. If parents are aware of the most common injuries in the sport their child is playing and how to prevent those injuries they can insist that their child’s program take the steps needed to keep them healthy and in the game. However, some coaches do not want to listen to our concerns. What have you done to make sure that your coach is working with you?

Injury Prevention

I always ask my team parents if they have first aid training. Then I make sure that there is always a parent on the field with some first aid training. I have had good luck with injuries but watched a boy on another team slide home and break his arm--actually it was serious with the bone popping out. Thank goodness one of the dads was an RN and knew just what to do. What is the best way to get training-anyone know/

Dirt Bike Racing

My son races bikes but I am not happy that the track makes us sign a "No Bitching" form. This says that if we have a problem with any thing we have to keep it to our selves or to the track. They have said that this is to keep rumors down. We are all talking anyways because too many kids got hurt on one leg of the track too many. They found this out and wnat to kick us all off.
